Change is the one thing it is certain we will all have to deal with in our lives. Every change, no matter how it happens, inevitably has an effect on us and our future and on those who come into regular contact with us. Sometimes it may seem to be a disaster when change is thrust on us. Known landmarks we have taken for granted – where we live, who we live with, the job we do, for example – are disrupted or disappear and we are obliged to search for and find new ones.
This is a period of transition when we mourn the loss of the old way but we have yet to find a new way to replace it. It is, therefore, a time of learning to trust and let go as we look for new possibilities for the future.
The Women in Transition course is designed to create a safe, supportive, relaxed place where a group of no more than twelve women can work with each other to explore the way forward. Each of the sessions includes an introduction, led discussion, experiential work, and imaging. The course is divided into two modules of six weekly two hour sessions. By the end of the course, each woman will have developed a plan to guide them through the next stage of their life. Most participants choose to take the whole course but it is designed so that you can opt out after one module and still have gained significant benefit. Each module costs £75 (£59 for those eligible for concessions). Women in Transition is available as a day or evening course.
